You enjoy a club song because you’re in the mood to feel good, you listen to a break-up song and enjoy it more because you've been there and can relate. VRG was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and has been living in and loving Miami for over 15 years. VRG grew up listening to the creators of HIP-HOP do their thing from artists such as Run-DMC, LL, Beastie Boys, Fat Boys, Rakim, MC Shan, and early reggae artists. He was introduced to the Hip-Hop movement at an early age and fell in love with music since. He grew up listening to his older brother’s cassette tapes along with his father’s vinyl records which included Michael Jackson, James Brown and Prince. VRG had a taste for good music and he began writing at the tender age of 12. Still young, he found he didn't have much to talk about besides the things that were real to him.

As he got older he realized the difficulties of life, through dealing with anxiety and mild depression. His inspirations became Nas, DMX, LL, and the Lovers rock genre of reggae music. As he developed in knowledge, so did his persistence and lyrical skills. Then labeling himself an Emcee, he began battling and performing and as he got older he realized after too many broken promises, that it was time to take things into his own hands and create an empire built on integrity, honestly, loyalty, generosity and his ambition. Currently on the verge of starting his own label and managing his own company, VRG is definitely a unique force to be reckoned with.
